While wood is strong, it is not as strong as stone. However, its advantage is that in case of damage, scratches and cracks can be sanded out and the item refinished.
When we understand the properties of wood, we know how to handle it correctly. Well-maintained wooden furniture lasts for a VERY LONG TIME.
A slightly damp microfiber or cotton cloth is ideal for cleaning and maintenance. You can dampen the cloth with plain water or soapy water—this way, you can be sure you aren’t using substances unsuitable for the wood or its finish. Many cleaning products contain silicone, which makes the wood surface look beautiful and shiny, but over time forms a layer that actually attracts dust. Therefore, the most foolproof method is to simply use water. If you still prefer to use a cleaning product, choose one that is silicone- and wax-free. Do not use a wet cloth, as excessive moisture can damage the wood surface. To ensure no excess moisture remains on the furniture, you can wipe the surface with a dry cloth after using a damp one.
If water or any other liquid drips, splashes, or spills onto the table, it should be wiped off immediately!
If liquid is left on the wood surface for an extended period, it can eventually seep through the finish and create white spots (even on lacquered surfaces).

To ensure WOODEN FURNITURE LASTS FOR DECADES…

Tablecloths, trays, napkins, and other table coverings help prevent and reduce scratches that may occur during daily use.

Use coasters or (heat-resistant) mats under mugs, glasses, and plates. Heat can leave white spots on the wood surface because it is lacquered.

Use felt pads or protectors under lamps, vases, and other decorative items to prevent them from scratching the wood surface.

Wooden furniture does not tolerate large fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Therefore, keep wooden furniture away from heat sources such as stoves and heaters. The ideal indoor temperature for wooden furniture is an average of 21–22°C, with a humidity level of 40–60%. Usually, indoor conditions are naturally suitable for wooden furniture.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Wood is not water- or heat-resistant. If we accidentally leave a hot or wet cup directly on a solid wood table, a white spot may form underneath it. This spot occurs when moisture penetrates the finish and creates microscopic “pockets” within it. In such a case, the tabletop must be sanded and refinished.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The table is finished for you just before delivery, and you must be extra careful when handling it for the first 3 weeks to ensure it remains durable and long-lasting; 3 weeks is the time it takes for the finish to set deep into the wood.

Natural oak veneer needs to be cleaned REGULARLY and handled with care, just like any other material.Additionally, there are a few specific characteristics to keep in mind regarding wood.
